Balzan suffered their third successive defeat to stay fourth from the bottom.

Floriana, on the other hand, returned to winning ways as they defeated Balzan 2-1 with a goal in the last minutes of the game. A win that puts them four points behind leaders Hibernians.

Balzan opted for three changes following the defeat to Mosta, with Gary Camilleri, Paul Fenech, and Aleksa Andrejic in the starting eleven

On the other hand, Floriana welcomed back Aleandro Garzia and Andrei Ciolacu after serving a suspension. They started instead of Adam Magri Overend and Jan Busuttil, while suspended Oualid El Hasni was replaced by Christian Rutjens.

In the 4th minute, Floriana were forced to make a change when Emiliano Callegari had to leave the pitch injured and was substituted by Owen Spiteri.

Balzan went out in search of an early goal and in the 8th minute, Aleksa Andrejic heading just wide off a cross by Uros Ljubomirac,

However, two minutes later, Floriana threatened with Ryan Camenzuli seeing his fine volley from outside the area finishing just wide.

In the 22nd minute, Ryan Camenzuli sent Brandon Paiber through and the latter controlled before lobbing the ball over goalkeeper Jake Galea but the ball finished wide.

In the 31st minute, Floriana took the lead. Following a free-kick from the left taken by Ulises Arias, CHRISTIAN RUTJENS rose high to head home.

Before the end of the first half, Floriana had another chance when Brandon Paiber served Rumyan Hovsepyan but his effort did not find the target.

On the hour, following a cross by Andrei Ciolacu, newly registered Kemar Reid tried his luck with a header but goalkeeper Jake Galea saved.

Three minutes later, Balzan missed a good opportunity when following an assist by Milos Mijic, Uros Ljubomirac served Bojan Kaljevic whose close-range effort was blocked by a defender.

A few minutes later, following a cross by Sean Cipriott, an effort by substitute Alvin Kevin Daniels, was parried by the Floriana goalkeeper Georgi Kitanov.

In the 66th minute, Floriana replied with a powerful drive by Andrei Ciolacu which was turned into a corner in style by the goalkeeper Jake Galea.

A munite later, Balzan levelled matters. Milos Mijic exchanged the ball with Paul Fenech before serving UROS LJUBOMIRAC who in turn hit low past Georgi Kitanov from inside the area.

In the 78th minute, Floriana hit back with a shot from the left by Ryan Camenzuli and in the 85th minute Magri Overend tried his luck from outside the area but both efforts were neutralised by goalkeeper JakeGalea.

However, a minute from time, Floriana notched the winner as following a corner from the left OWEN SPITERI rose high to head the ball home.
