30/01/20 : Balzan FC played a Friendly match against FK Zbrojovka Brno of Czech Republic at the National Stadium at Ta ‘ Qali which finished in a goalless draw. This friendly proved to be a success as Balzan utilised all its players and a couple of minors who showed their potential against a strong side.

20/01/20: Bosnian central defender Aleksandar Kosorić parted away from Balzan FC to rejoin FK Zeljeznicar, the team which he payed for, in Bosnia & Herzegovina, from 2014 till 2017. Last season Valletta won the decisive BOV Premier League match against Hibernians and were crowned Champions 2018/2019 . Days later, they lost the FA Trophy following a thrilling contest against Balzan. Such honours meant that Valletta and Balzan qualified to play against each other for the BOV Super Cup.
