As expected Balzan registered a 4-1 win over Second Division side Gudja United at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.

For this game Balzan had several normal players including : injured goalkeepers Ivan Jansusevic and Sean Mintoff,  together with Elkin Serrano, Paul Fenech, Cadu missing from the line-up, while Steven Bezzina, Uros Ljubomirac and Samir Arab were left on the bench and not utilized.

Balzan went straight on the offense and on the 5th minute BOJAN KALJEVIC put them ahead.

On the 22nd minute, MARKO PLATISA doubled the score following good work by Alex da Paixao Alves (lekao).

Two minutes from the end of the first half, ALEX DA PAIXAO ALVES made it 3 – 0.

In the second half Balzan substitutes Bruno Gilio de Oliveria and Alfred Effiong with Michael Johnson and Gary Camilleri.

On the 57th minute, against the way of play Gudja pulles one back when following a free-kick CHRIS GRECH headed home.

Less than two minutes later, ALEX DA PAIXAO ALVES scored his second personal goal making the final result 4 – 1.

In the fourth round, Balzan will be facing Naxxar.
